London and Leaving the UK

We needed a break from the unfamiliar. The UK really felt like a second home to us. We really enjoyed every nook and cranny and hope to return many times. We spent our last week in the London suburbs and Karen had a nice visit with her friend Tricia in London proper. It was weird to be there when the Queen died but we shared in their sadness like she was our queen. We did a smattering of things in and around London (Karen did more with Tricia) and also rested since we knew Africa and Asia were coming up next.

Westminster Abbey with people queuing to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth. The queues were sometimes more than 24 hours long but everyone handled it well. The end of an era.
Our next adventure awaits!!!
