A Small Post about a small country

This post is about Liechtenstein and my obsession with visiting the micro-countries (you’re next Andorra). We just stopped by on the way to Switzerland for lunch. It really is an interesting place. It’s eight times smaller than Los Angeles, making it the 4th smallest country in Europe after Vatican City, Monaco, San Marino. It has the second highest per capita GDP $165,028 in the world and one-third of the 38,000+ citizens are millionaires

Vaduz Castle is the official residence of the prince of Liechtenstein, Johannes Adam Ferdinand Alois Josef Maria Marco d’Aviano Pius
The castle was first recorded in 1322 but the keep was probably built in the 1200s
The capital, Vaduz is a mix of modern and old.
Karen thinks saying Liechtenstein is fun!

They don’t just give these passport stamps to anybody that visits the country. You have to be dumb enough to pay 3 Francs at the tourist office. We were and now we are fancy!
